    Channel 7 Exposes Petland Novi

"Channel 7 ran ANOTHER story on the Petland Novi store. They are selling more sick dogs. Check out the story and join the Puppy Mill Awareness Group on November 14, 12:30 - 3:00PM for a peaceful rally. http://www.wxyz.com/n... ... MoreFor more Meetup details: http://www.meetup.com... As many of you already know, almost all of our local pet stores (24) work with out of state breeders. Reputable breeders do sell to pet stores. If you have purchased a puppy from a pet store and have incurred a considerable amount of medical bills, please consider sharing your story so that your experience may help educate others. Do you know someone who has purchased a puppy from a pet store? It does not have to be recent purchase. They should report all their information to PetShopPuppies.org, even if the puppy was healthy. This allows us to see where the dogs are coming from. Purchased a sick puppy from a Pet Store? 1) Contact Animal Control. 2) Contact the Better Business Bureau. Petland Westland is now rated F. 3) The HSUS is also collecting reports of sick dogs. Michelle Foncannon, [masked], or fill out their online complaint form at humanesociety.org/puppymillstory. 4) PetShopPuppies.org can help research breeder information and also collects reports of sick dogs. 5) Do not use the store’s recommended vet. 6) Contact the Puppy Mill Awareness Meetup, Leroy Brown ([masked]) for more information about the breeder and store. Puppy Mill Awareness Day 9/19 - We need dog lovers to spread the word!

"If you are tired of meeting people who have purchased sick dogs from Pet Stores, it is time to do something about it. Join the Puppy Mill Awareness Meetup group at the Petland Westland for a Memorial Rally! ... MorePetland is the nation's largest retail supporter of puppy mills. The Westland store has had reports of sick dogs purchased since 2004 and they are working with many out-of-state breeders in the puppy mill belt. We are asking the store to stop selling puppies and go humane. Bring flowers, balloons, pictures and messages for the parents of the puppies sold at this Petland and join our Memorial Rally Please park at the Quo Vadis Penthouse on Wayne Road. We cannot park or convene in the parking lot of the strip mall. For more details, go to our website. http://www.meetup.com... "
