You need some fresh air after last night!
We'll meet in the parking lot at 1:45 and walk the pack of dogs starting at 2 pm. Sylvan Glen Lake Park is between Square Lake Rd & Long Lake Rd on the west side of Rochester Rd, south of Camp Ticonderoga. The park has a nice walk up the south side of the lake (warning: you'll be walking into the prevailing wind here, dress appropriately. You'll probably want a scarf and definitely gloves). Then into the woods on the trail before we loop back and return the way we came. This walk is a great mix of open spaces and woods to sniff; about a mile, takes about 45 minutes at a leisurely pace. We'll plan an hour + to add dog playtime. Pauses [pawses?] as necessary for dogs playing, sniffing, racing, etc.
The weather i... oh, who really knows? Bring poop bags. Have leashes with you.

Is the path going to be cleared of enough snow so that walking shoes are sufficient, or will this require snow boots?

Only way to comment is to RSVP but the maybe is no longer an option, whats up with that? So is this an off leash event? reading past reviews I am not sure. If so, I think they are ready to try an off leash walk type event, thats if mom is not to hung over to go walk in the cold

What a great day for a walk! We had a great time...we both had a nice nap!
    • Keppie & Callie
Glad it was yesterday and not today. BRRRRR Both girls were so tired and fell fast asleep when we got home. That always means they had a good time. I know Callie loved playing with and chasing the Jack Russell. And Kep just loved being with anmyone who would pet her.

Great way to start the New Year! I had to laugh at one of the park neighbors who asked where the dog parade came from... and welcome to the guests of members and the extra people who just walked along with us. It was wonderful to see some old friends find us again. Joe & Ellen got some terrific pictures!!! Happy New Year everyone!
    • Chauncy & Casey
The weather was cold, but walking the trail warmed us up. My dogs enjoyed meeting new friends, running the trail, sniffing the woods and mingling in the open field area. Chauncey loved making dog angels in the snow. It was a great first meet up for me and my dogs.
    • DogStar Parents: Floyd & Polly
We had a good time, I know Floyd did, we didnt see much of him till he got tired lol, polly seems to have more fun with each meetup.
    • DogStar mom, Casey
It was a great day--The walk was just the right length and my little "Fire Inspector" found all the holes in the fence and made sure all the culvert were not blocked!!! Thanks for organizing Karen and Joe
