Hi all,

I haven't been able to attend any of the meetups because I am booked solid on the weekends. Have you ever considered a meetup time for during the week for folks who work weekends, have family obligations, etc. I know that a weekday playdate may not be possible because a house would have to be found to have it at, but what about a hike at the park? It gets dark early now, but a walk around one of the downtown areas in the evening, or a hike at the park on a morning would be an idea.

It's a great idea, Chris- would you be willing be lead a walk in downtown Rochester?

That sounds like fun. I would love to do it. I would just ask that someone who knows some of the other group members participate that evening too. I don't know anyone/haven't met anyone yet so wouldn't know who I was waiting for :) If it is done on an average night, the meet up group may be the only ones in town, or maybe it could be done on a night the shops are open. It would definitely draw some looks, dontcha think? The lights are starting to go up so it may be a nice walk once they are on too.

I think if it is done, the best place to meet would be either the parking lot at the park (we just couldn't walk in the park because you need a pass), or there is a parking lot on Walnut and 4th behind a restaurant that has closed. If it is a small group, I know someone who lives downtown so parking can be on the street and a smaller group can walk down. sometimes the leader dogs in training are out too

It just depends what type of interest there is.

there's a new feature on Meetup that allows me to designate Event Organizers, as a one time 'host' type capacity.

so, if you have ideas for activities, but have been hesitant to became an official Assistant Organizer, this may be perfect for you!
(although you could ask Merek & Susan- I'm not very demanding. Joe might tell you different )

I am in. I scheduled the meetup. I won't have a car for people to look for, as I will most likely walk there, but I have two long haired wiener dogs so you'll be sure to find me. I'll try to be there slightly early.

Patridge Creek on M-59 allows pets and is another option.

I would love to come, and my aunt lives in rochester so she would probably come too. I would til 6 so I couldn't get out there til 7 ish though.
